Hi all. You guys can call me Leo (my overseas friends do) or Jianhui (my standard name). Yeah I know, kind of troublesome not having an English name, but Leo substitutes pretty fine for that. Some friends like to come up with names for me though, best one I heard so far was Sherman, but no I’m not responding to that.

I AM…

Perhaps seemingly quiet on the outside sometimes, but bursting with things to talk and laugh about inside. I just need a good kick from myself or someone to start the engine when this happens.

My camera, my music player, and Coca Cola. Oh, and my stuffed penguin too

I ABSOLUTELY LOVE…

Music, travelling, and the freedom I feel from roaming the streets in berms and flip flops with a camera around my neck. And also, buffets with plenty of oysters.

I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHING…

Almost everything I can point my lens to, be it a beautiful landscape, famous landmarks, or random interesting sights on the streets. And oh yeah, got to mention this guy pictured on the right, my good friend “Marco the Stormtrooper Photographer”, who’s just in the Stormtrooper line to make ends meet and earn money for more gear. This guy is always by my side, and he’s my go-to model most of the time, though he’s more often seen photographing something than posing for me.

But the subjects I enjoy photographing the most involves people. Every one has a story, and I aim to capture that story, be it at a graduation shoot, a birthday party, a cosplay convention, or even at a concert (I absolutely love doing this particular one, what’s better than combining two of my biggest hobbies into one single activity?)

Probably the only subject I don’t think I have any affinity with is my nephew, the first thing he does when he sees me is point to the door and say “Go!”, so yeah, got to work on my relationship with him first before attempting anything…
